Opposition Leaders Vow to Unite and Field Single Candidate for 2027 - September 2025

A union of opposition leaders in Kenya has publicly vowed to oust President Ruto's regime in preparation for the 2027 elections. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has emphasized that the opposition will remain united to remove President Ruto from power. Gachagua affirmed that the Opposition coalition will agree on a single presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. He further stated that individual leaders' ambitions cannot be allowed to overshadow the collective goals of the coalition.
