President Ruto affirmed to leaders of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) that Kenya is committed to boosting trade among African nations. During the meeting, he announced the country's plan to swiftly digitize all its trade instruments. Separately, the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association (KIFWA) has signed a 12 billion Kenyan Shilling agreement with an international company. This partnership is aimed at launching a new electronic system for freight forwarders in Kenya.
