Garissa Residents Protest Insecurity and Murder of Lecturer Jackson Ochieng - October 2025

Residents of Garissa are protesting against rising insecurity in the region. The community is demanding justice following the murder of lecturer Jackson Ochieng. Teachers and boda boda operators in Garissa also held protests to condemn the killing of a teacher. Hundreds have taken to the streets after the killing occurred in the Bula Mzuri business center on the outskirts of the town. The community is demanding immediate action to address the escalating situation.
