Government Launches Sh50B Hospital in Uasin Gishu and Addresses Medicine Supply Issues - November 2025
The government has initiated the construction of a new Sh50 billion Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Kiplombe, Uasin Gishu County. The project, launched by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, aims to provide a modern 4,000-bed facility to enhance healthcare services. Separately, President William Ruto has acknowledged challenges in the supply of medicines to hospitals across Kenya. The President has pledged to improve the situation and directed the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) to ensure an uninterrupted supply of medicines directly to dispensaries nationwide.
