Cyrus Jirongo, former Lugari MP, died on December 13, 2025, in a fatal road accident. His wife, Anne Jirongo, shared details about her last conversations with him at a memorial service in Nairobi. During the requiem mass, friends and family paid tribute, with Muhoho Kenyatta recalling their friendship and David Murathe crediting Jirongo for paving the way for Uhuru Kenyatta's presidency.
