Schools Begin Grade 10 Transition Under Competency-Based Curriculum System - January 2026

The transition for Grade 10 students into secondary schools under the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBE) has begun with varied outcomes. In contrast, Marigat School in Baringo County reported that it is fully prepared to welcome Grade 10 special needs students. Amid the transition, education stakeholders in Kenya have praised the CBE system. They assert that the government's intention through this framework is to provide quality education to students.
