Governors Clash with Senate Over Extortion Allegations and Audits - February 2026

In response, Senators dismissed the boycott call, emphasizing that all governors must appear before the committee to ensure accountability for public funds. Following this, governors boycotted Senate sessions concerning the audit of public funds.
