Irungu Nyakera's Hotel Attacked by Gang in Kisumu - March 2026

CCTV footage has captured armed individuals raiding the hotel owned by former Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) chairperson Irungu Nyakera in Kisumu. A gang of approximately 100 people reportedly vandalized the hotel on Wednesday morning, stealing valuable items. Former KEMSA chairperson Irungu Nyakera has condemned the attack by individuals described as goons. Police in Kisumu are investigating the raid where valuable items were destroyed.
