The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a warning about fake recruitment messages circulating online, coinciding with the rollout of major road projects across the country.

• KeNHA is alerting the public to fraudulent emails, such as one from recruitment.kenha@gmail.com, falsely claiming recruitment and test postponements.
• Director General Engineer Luka Kimeli stressed that KeNHA never requests payment for employment and advised reporting scams.
• This warning comes as KeNHA prepares for a large-scale road maintenance program in the 2025/2026 financial year, aiming to upgrade over 100 road sections nationwide.

Kenya's Transport CS Davis Chirchir has confirmed that the government is moving forward with plans to dual the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway and other key roads across the country.

• The Nairobi-Mombasa Highway dualling will commence after the completion of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) assessment report.
• Other prioritized projects include the dualling of the Kisumu-Kakamega Road, funded by the new National Infrastructure Fund, and the redesign of the dangerous Nithi Bridge.
• The government is also seeking funds for improvements at the Coptic Roundabout and on the Kisumu-Muhoroni road.
