Gen Z Kenyans plan to introduce bill ensuring youth participation in budget process - June 2026

Young Kenyans, primarily Gen Z, are planning to introduce a bill in Parliament to ensure youth participation in the national budget preparation process. Meanwhile, Kenyan youth are increasingly turning to mental health chatbots for emotional support amidst growing concerns, highlighting rising demand for accessible mental health resources. Leaders from Baringo County are also calling on the Ministry of Education to allocate emergency funds to assist schools impacted by floods from rising water levels in Lake Baringo and Lake Bogori.
