President William Ruto has assented to the Division of Revenue Bill, 2026, enabling the distribution of nationally raised revenue for the 2026/27 financial year. The law officially allocates Sh428 billion in equitable share funding to county governments. Separately, Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi presented the 2026/27 National Budget, a spending plan totaling KSh 4.8 trillion, before Parliament. Additionally, the World Bank is set to disburse Ksh96.9 billion to Kenya by June 30, following the country's successful implementation of key policy reforms.
