Dangote Industries Limited has announced plans to build a new 700,000-barrel-per-day oil refinery in Kenya, significantly expanding its refining capacity across Africa.

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has introduced a new licensing framework for digital courier platforms, set to take effect on July 29, 2026, as part of significant reforms to the country's logistics sector.

• A new license category, 'Courier Hailing Service Provider', will require an initial fee of Ksh100,000 and an annual fee of Ksh100,000 or 0.4% of audited annual gross turnover, whichever is higher.
