DCI Arrests Masterminds Behind Ksh600,000 Fake NIS Recruitment Scam - July 2026
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested four individuals suspected of running a fake recruitment scam, conning job seekers out of Ksh600,000 by promising them positions within the National Intelligence Service (NIS). The Kenya Police Service has arrested 25 foreign nationals in Kisumu County as part of an intensified crackdown on human smuggling operations. A former KTN and NTV journalist and his wife face 12 charges for allegedly orchestrating a Ksh1.17 billion land fraud in Syokimau.
