Four men have been charged at the Makadara Law Courts for allegedly attempting to vandalize and steal a Kenya Power transformer valued at nearly KSh1.2 million in Nairobi's Industrial Area. Separately, four police officers attached to Kamkunji Police Station are under investigation for allegedly stealing Sh21 million from a Congolese trader. Meanwhile, a multi-billion-shilling KEBS vehicle inspection tender is under scrutiny as Japanese businessmen and Kenyans face 40 procurement fraud charges, with the accused allegedly using forged documents to secure contracts for pre-export vehicle inspections between 2014 and 2022. Kenya's National Assembly's Public Investments Committee is also launching a fresh probe into the Ksh844 million JOOUST hostel project due to significant financial discrepancies and unresolved legal disputes.
