Leaders Condemn Gachagua's Tourist Boycott Call - July 2026
The Jubilee Party has strongly condemned former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's recent appeal for tourists and investors to boycott Kenya. Leaders from the Coast region also strongly condemned Gachagua's 'stay away' call to tourists. Gachagua has announced he will travel to the United States next month and plans to hold several rallies across Kenya before his departure to expand his political support base. Additionally, Gachagua publicly declared his intention to defend his successor, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, against political attacks from the Mt Kenya region.
