EACC Moves to Recover KSh4.3 Billion Kisumu Prison Land - July 2026
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has initiated legal proceedings to reclaim 7.6 acres of land belonging to the Kenya Prisons Service in Kisumu's Milimani area, valued at KSh4.3 billion. The land was allegedly illegally converted to private ownership. EACC is warning title holders as it pursues recovery of the public land worth hundreds of millions. A senior magistrate at Kangema Law Courts has been suspended following his arrest by EACC on corruption allegations.
