EACC Moves to Recover KSh4.3 Billion Kisumu Prison Land - July 2026

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has initiated legal proceedings to reclaim 7.6 acres of Kenya Prisons Service land in Kisumu's Milimani area, valued at KSh4.3 billion. The land was allegedly illegally converted to private ownership. EACC is pursuing recovery of the land and warns title holders that they will face legal consequences. Separately, the EACC is also pursuing recovery of public land worth hundreds of millions allegedly grabbed in Kisumu.
