Isaaq and Harti Communities Begin 300km March to State House Opposing Land Registration - August 2026

Communities of Isaaq and Harti have initiated a 300-kilometer march to State House to protest against land registration processes. Meanwhile, residents of Isiolo have also taken to the streets demanding that the President suspend a planned land registration exercise that was scheduled for August. These protests come as the opposition party held an emergency meeting to resolve disputes and discuss the future of the Azimio coalition agreement, amid heightened tensions over land matters.
