Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is challenging President William Ruto's authority by planning a defiant tour of Emurua Dikirr constituency in Narok County on Friday, testing Ruto's grip on the Rift Valley region. Gachagua has also urged President Ruto to involve Scotland Yard and the FBI in investigating the helicopter crash that killed former MP Johana Ng'eno and five others on February 28. Meanwhile, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki asserted the dominance of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), dismissing Gachagua's Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) as 'visionless' and lacking grassroots presence. Separately, Gachagua is initiating high-level talks to forge a partnership between DCP and Wiper Patriotic Front to strengthen the mountain region's influence.
