Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua pledged to fund and oversee the construction of a mausoleum for the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng'eno during a visit to his family in Narok County. Gachagua also accused President Ruto of lying, intensifying political tensions ahead of the 2027 General Election. Meanwhile, Gachagua has declined a summons from the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), citing a pre-planned foreign trip from August 26 to October 20, with his legal team disputing the allegations and requesting more information before cooperating. National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula has strongly urged for peaceful political activities and an end to "goonism," particularly in the lead-up to the 2027 General Election.
