Kenya has pledged to expedite investigations into a helicopter crash in Samburu County that killed Ecuador's intelligence chief Michele Sensi-Contugi Ycaza and his wife, Stephany María Hollihan.

India has confirmed the rescue of 22 Indian seafarers following the hijacking of two foreign-flagged vessels near Somalia and Yemen. The seafarers were aboard the MV Lutuf and MT Sibu, which were seized on August 17 and August 20, respectively.
