President William Ruto has urged Kenyan leaders to focus on their development track records rather than divisive rhetoric ahead of the 2027 General Election. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has criticized the opposition for allegedly spreading lies and lacking a clear agenda, vowing that the Kenya Kwanza administration will highlight its development track record to secure a second term in 2027. In a separate political development, Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli, leader of the National Liberal Party (NLP), has declared his intention to contest the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in 2027, signaling a broader political ambition. Head of Public Service Felix Koskei is also urging for enhanced grassroots engagement as the government promotes its development agenda.
