Fuse Holdings Limited has lost a significant tax appeal at the Tax Appeals Tribunal, failing to convince regarding its ownership and loan records for 2020 and 2021. The High Court in Nairobi has simultaneously received a challenge against the gazettement of the liquidation of Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operative Union Limited (KUSCCO). Additionally, another tax dispute emerged as printing firm Graphic Lineups Limited lost its tax fight with KRA and must pay Sh15.7 million in Value Added Tax on an imported printing press. The High Court has also quashed a legal opinion that cleared the Communications Authority of Kenya to make payments linked to a company associated with its former chairperson, Mary Wambui Mungai.
