The High Court has granted a significant victory to Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya by suspending criminal proceedings against him regarding procurement irregularities.

• The court issued a temporary order suspending the proceedings until the hearing of Natembeya's challenge against the charges.
• The ruling was made by Justice Bahati Mwamuye and requires that all relevant parties be notified by June 9, 2025.
• Previously, Natembeya was released on a Ksh1 million bond after facing multiple charges, including conflict of interest.
