The Judiciary of Kenya has reiterated its commitment to justice amidst growing concerns over police brutality and violence during protests. This was highlighted following the death of Albert Ojwang during recent demonstrations.

• Judiciary Spokesperson Paul Ndemo expressed concern over violent groups infiltrating peaceful protests and the lack of accountability for those responsible.
• The Judiciary is dedicated to processing cases related to police misconduct in a “timely, impartial and independent manner.”
• Ndemo reinforced the National Police Service's constitutional duty to apprehend and prosecute individuals involved in violence.
