Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo has been impeached following allegations of misconduct, after a decisive vote by members of the Isiolo County Assembly on June 26.

• 16 out of 18 MCAs voted to support the motion to oust him.
• Opposition to the impeachment criticized Speaker Mohamed Roba for allegedly pressuring members.
• The governor has faced longstanding allegations, including irregular hirings of advisors, with claims of massive wastage of public resources.
