Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has challenged DCI boss Amin Mohammed to investigate claims made by Kimani Ichung’wah and Kipchumba Murkomen regarding the June 25 protests during a burial service on July 1 in Nyandarua County.

• Gachagua questioned why Ichung’wah has not filed a police report regarding alleged threats to his parents during the protests.
• The DCI is urged to also obtain statements from Murkomen, who linked certain ethnic groups to the protests.
• Gachagua criticized both DCI and Murkomen for failing to act on their serious allegations, calling for a focus on investigating the protests rather than political rivalries.
