The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced it is starting rehabilitation works on the Kisumu–Busia highway, which has faced long-standing disrepair, following user complaints about poor conditions.

• KeNHA confirmed that a maintenance contractor is now onboard for the project.
• Road user Eric Ochombo highlighted concerns over massive potholes and safety issues.
• The highway is part of the vital Northern Corridor connecting the port of Mombasa to neighboring countries, affecting trade and economic activity.
