On a recent occasion at the Kapicha Eco-Tourism and Conservation Center in Baringo County, Dr. Eng. Festus Ng’eno, the Principal Secretary for Environment and Climate Change, launched a new phase of the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Program (GEF SGP) aimed at promoting community-led conservation projects.

• Ksh 60 million in grants awarded to 16 civil society organizations for various eco-projects in the Lake Bogoria area.
• Implemented through a partnership between the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
• The initiative targets three priority landscapes, highlighting the government's commitment to grassroots environmental solutions.
