The construction of Lessesia Secondary School in Taveta Constituency, Taita Taveta County, is now 70% complete, with roofing as the next major phase. This new institution, whose foundation stone was laid by President William Ruto in December 2024, aims to expand access to quality senior school education under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

• The project features a three-storey facility with 20 classrooms, four science laboratories, and two libraries.
• Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo stated that Lessesia Secondary will admit its first cohort of Grade 10 learners next year.
• The school will significantly alleviate pressure on existing senior schools in the region, providing more learners with access to education closer to home.
