• The Cabinet approved the sale on Tuesday, July 29, intending to list KPC shares on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) to reduce budgetary allocation and boost private sector involvement.
• The Motorists Association of Kenya (MAK) also opposed the move, stating it "undermines public trust" and threatens a "vital national asset."
