Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret has implemented new strict visitation rules for patients and visitors, effective August 1, 2025. This move aims to enhance safety, peace, and hygiene within the hospital premises, following a recent patient death at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

• Patients will now be allowed a maximum of two visitors at a time.
• MTRH adjusted visiting hours to 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (Lunch) and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Evening).
• The changes align with a national directive from Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale for all hospitals to implement stringent safety measures after the July 11, 2025 incident at KNH.
