The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has updated its iTax online tax filing platform, allowing individual users to log in using their National Identity Card (ID) numbers in addition to the existing Personal Identification Number (PIN).

• The new feature was announced on Monday, August 4, aimed at simplifying tax compliance.
• The KRA stated the change is a direct response to taxpayer feedback, as ID numbers are more familiar and easier to recall than PINs.
• The PIN login option remains active and valid.
