President William Ruto has delivered on his promise to the Harambee Stars, paying a total of KSh42 million after their victory against DR Congo in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 opener.

• Each of the 27 players and 15 members of the technical bench received KSh1 million.
• The payment was announced by State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed on Monday, following Sunday's 1-0 win.
• A similar reward has been promised for the team's upcoming game against Angola.
