Mombasa-based TikToker Shedrack Omondi Okindo, also known as Hon. Mosquito, has been arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over a viral video containing threats of violence. The video, published on August 1, 2025, called for the release of leaders from an anti-police brutality group.

• Okindo was apprehended in Miritini, Mombasa County.
• The video threatened President Ruto, demanding the release of Jackson Kimani alias Cop Shakur and former Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer Patrick Osoi.
• Officers recovered two pairs of tactical combat fatigues, a notebook with writings about "guerrilla resistance tactics," and three mobile phones from Okindo's hideout.
