Former Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has filed a complaint with the Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) against Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti, accusing him of misconduct during his graft trial. Ojaamong claims Ogoti mishandled the case, despite 20 witnesses exonerating him.

• Ojaamong was accused of misappropriating Ksh8 million in a graft case that began with investigations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruptio Commission (EACC) in 2014.
• The complaint against Chief Magistrate Ogoti alleges abuse of office for ruling that Ojaamong had a case to answer despite witness testimony.
• Ojaamong was acquitted of the graft charges on May 16, 2025, by Chief Magistrate Eunice Nyutu due to insufficient evidence.
