An unknown number of students from Salvation Army Imusutsu High School were injured on Friday morning when their bus overturned on the Kisumu-Busia highway in Sirwa Posta, Vihiga County. The bus was en route to Meru for the Kenya National Music Festival.

• The accident occurred around 7 am when the bus lost control and overturned.
• The bus was transporting both students and teachers.
• This incident follows other recent accidents, including eight fatalities in Naivasha, Nakuru County, on Thursday, August 7, involving a freight train and a company bus, and a matatu overturning on Waiyaki Way, Nairobi.
