Kenya Power has announced planned electricity outages for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, affecting multiple counties across the Nairobi, Mt. Kenya, and Coast regions. These interruptions are for scheduled maintenance works aimed at enhancing service reliability.

• Outages are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in most affected areas, with some starting at 8:00 a.m. in the Mt. Kenya Region.
• The Nairobi Region will see interruptions in parts of Parklands, including areas along Parklands Road and Ojijo Road.
• Significant outages in the Mt. Kenya Region include Nyeri County (Mukuweini, Ichamara), Meru County (Maua Town, Laare, Athi), Murang’a County (around Equitorial Nut Processors), Kirinyaga County (near Mutira Girls), Kiambu County (Loreto Girls, Tigoni Police), and Kitui County (Mulutu, Kavisuni, Kanyangii).
• In the Coast Region, Kilifi County (parts of Malindi, including Malindi Airport and Billionaire Resort) and Mombasa County (Port Reitz, Migadini, Magongo) will experience power cuts.
