Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a strong warning against political interference, specifically addressing former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) quarter-finals at Kasarani Stadium on Friday.

• Murkomen stated that the National Police Service will reinforce security to prevent disruptions during the Harambee Stars versus Madagascar match.
• Gachagua, leader of the Democratic for Citizens Party (DCP), is expected to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Thursday, August 21, from his United States trip.
• DCP Deputy Party leader Clephas Malala announced plans for a "mother of all peaceful processions" from the airport to Kamukunji grounds, warning against any apprehension of Gachagua that could trigger protests and disrupt the ongoing tournaments.
