• Murkomen stated that the prevalence of illicit brews, particularly in Nyeri County, points to complicity or negligence by local security officers including OCS (Officer Commanding Station) and chiefs.
• The Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, is reorganizing personnel based on intelligence gathered from citizens regarding unscrupulous activities.
• Officers found to be involved in illegal activities face disciplinary action, transfer, or reassignment depending on their level of involvement.
• The CS's remarks coincide with the intensified government crackdown on illicit brews and the recent resignation of popular mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, also known as Samidoh, from the police force after 12 years of service.
