Judith Awuor Oketch, driven by a personal tragedy witnessed in 2016, has founded Ambulex Solutions to address critical gaps in Kenya's emergency medical response, particularly within the crucial 'Golden Hour'. Her technology-enabled initiative aims to provide timely and affordable emergency care, significantly reducing ambulance response times from an estimated 2 hours to the recommended 15-20 minutes.

• Ambulex Solutions has responded to 4,000 emergency responses and registered 24,000 households since its first response in August 2021.
• The Ambulex App and USSD code *789*189# allow citizens to request emergency services, including medical emergencies and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) support, with a Ksh.200 annual household subscription.
• According to National Police Service data, nearly 115,841 medical emergency cases were reported in Kenya between 2018 to 2022, with the majority (78,287) being assault cases.
