Geoffrey Mosiria, Chief Officer for Environment in Nairobi County, has offered a Ksh10,000 reward for information leading to scrap metal dealers buying vandalized county dustbins. This initiative, funded from his personal salary, aims to combat the widespread vandalism of public property in Nairobi.

• A Ksh5,000 reward already exists for reporting individuals vandalizing and stealing the dustbins.
• Mosiria stated that legal action will be taken against apprehended vandals and buyers.
• The county government has also initiated a crackdown on street families allegedly used to vandalize the dustbins.
