Kenyan cricket legends from the 2003 ICC World Cup team were honored in Nairobi during the launch of the new Cricket Kenya T20 League (CKT20). The league, supported by AOS Sport Tournament with a five-year, Sh255 million deal, aims to revive Kenyan cricket and nurture new talent, featuring six franchises and international players.

• The 2003 World Cup team, which reached the semi-finals, was honored with a trophy and Sh100,000 each.
• Notable honorees included Maurice Odumbe, Martin Suji, Peter Ong’ondo, and the Obuya brothers (David, Kennedy, Collins).
• The CKT20 League, set to begin on November 7, will feature six foreign players per franchise and mirror the format of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
• The tournament will host test players from across the globe, with auctioning commencing in October.
