Kericho Governor Erick Mutai has extended an olive branch to Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) after surviving a second impeachment attempt by the Senate. He called for unity among leaders for the sake of development and the growth of Kericho County.

• The Senate trial, led by Speaker Amason Kingi, focused on the preliminary objection concerning the initial 32 MCA vote threshold at the county assembly level.
• Mutai expressed gratitude to his legal team, led by Katwa Kigen, and the 18 MCAs who supported him, stating, "God has vindicated us."
