The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced plans to allocate part of a Ksh15.8 billion loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) for a review of the Mombasa-Mariakani Highway Project. This crucial highway links Kenya to landlocked countries like Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

• KeNHA will hire consultants for seven months to review the project's management, financing, and execution, including the application of Variation of Price (VOP).
• The project involves dualizing a 41.7-kilometer stretch of the highway from a 2-way to a 4-way lane, with work having commenced in July 2023 and expected completion by January 2026.
• Interested individual consultants must submit their expression of interest by Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11 AM.
