The United Opposition has appointed Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi, a former Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), as its Spokesperson and Head of the Opposition Secretariat ahead of the 2027 elections.

• The appointment was announced after a meeting at SKM Headquarters in Karen on Wednesday.
• Key leaders present included former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, People's Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, and Wiper Patriotic Front party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
• Kituyi, who served as Minister for Trade and Industry under former President Mwai Kibaki, will represent six political parties within the coalition.
