Former UN trade chief Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi has been appointed spokesperson and Head of Secretariat for the United Opposition, a coalition aiming to challenge President William Ruto in 2027. The announcement was made on Wednesday evening by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua following a strategy meeting.
