The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has ordered the arrest of Isiolo Governor Ibrahim Abdi Hassan, alias Guyo, and seven others following allegations of kidnapping and robbery with violence. This directive comes after a comprehensive review of an inquiry file by the DCI Kiyumbi office.

• The incident involved the alleged kidnapping and assault of former Isiolo County Chief Officer of Health, Abdirahaman Mohamed, at Outbark Hotel in Maanzoni, Machakos County.
• Governor Guyo and his supporters are accused of storming the hotel, disarming Abdirahaman, and abducting him, leading to the loss of a Glock pistol, an iPhone 16, and Ksh.70,000 cash.
• CCTV footage reportedly places Governor Guyo at the scene along with Abdullahi Jaldesa Banticah, Dade Boru, Abdirashid Ali Diba alias Ngila, Abdinur Dima Jiilo, Ahmed Duale, Josephat Mwangi Komu, and Yusuf Maina.
