A conspiracy to murder case against Francis Muya, a 72-year-old Naivasha man accused of plotting to kill five family members, will restart on September 24 after a one-year delay. The Naivasha Chief Magistrate Nathan Lutta directed the case be assigned to a new court after the previous magistrate recused himself.

• Francis Muya faces five counts of conspiracy to murder, including his estranged wife, Rose Njeri Muya, for a fee of over Ksh.3 million.
• His daughter and her fiancé, both in the US, are also wanted for similar charges.
• The alleged motive for the murders was to take over a prime plot of land in Molo town.
