Kenya's Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced plans to certify agripreneurs, aiming to professionalize the agriculture sector. This initiative will involve establishing a national certification framework, integrated into agricultural college curricula, to ensure qualified individuals.

The certification will ensure agripreneurs are qualified in technology, soil management, and modern production systems before national recognition.
The government will not retreat from strategies to enhance livestock productivity, especially in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs).
Key livestock strategies include rangeland restoration, sustainable animal feeds, livestock vaccination, animal identification and traceability, and targeted breed improvement.
