Nyamira County registered only 18 new voters since the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) launched its Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise on September 29, making it the county with the fewest registrations nationwide. The overall national numbers for new registrations also disappointed, with only 20,754 voters registered by October 8, falling significantly short of the IEBC's target of 6.3 million new voters.
